Hey everyone! The Rune Rush, new relics, and enchant updates for the Mounts of Mayhem Expansion are all now live.

Final quick overview of the changes and timeline!

• 🕰️Tier VI surges, each starting the research for a new spear enchant, will occur at (in PST):

• 📖The Paradigms Wrath and Vainglory have been reworked, and Lust has been buffed.

• The FAQ post has been updated with the full, final descriptions of the new relics and reworked enchants.

🪄Runic Shift Event

• ⏫A Rune Rush will replace the March 7th - 8th Ominous Rush. This grants +25% rune drops and causes fully failed Runecrafts to return 3 runes.

• 🕰️Six Tier VI surges will run automatically at the following times(PDT):

  • March 7, 2026 10:00 AM

  • March 7, 2026 3:00 PM

  • March 7, 2026 8:00 PM

  • March 8, 2026 10:00 AM

• 🪛Defeated Tier VI apexes drop an Attuned Boundary Fragment which uncovers the research project of a new spear enchantment once given to the Arcanum.

• 💎Defeated Tier V apexes drop a standard Boundary Fragment which can be submitted for 50% research project progress.

• 📜The research quest for these projects will reroll immediately upon completion.

🛡️Valor Shop: Spear Relics

• 🦑Messina, a new hybrid which starts as the trident Charybdis:

  • 🪛Charybdis has the mythical trajectory enchant Whirlpool🌟. It leaves Scylla behind in-hand when thrown.

    • Whirlpool🌟: Throws fly straight and pull enemies, then slam down and form a suffocating whirlpool.

  • 🪛Scylla is a diamond spear with no minimum attack range and with the mythical dash enchant Man-Eater🌟. Charybdis can be collected, replacing Scylla, once no enemies are in its whirlpool.

    • Man-Eater🌟: Charges forcibly dash to Charybdis, briefly liquefying terrain. Jabs near the whirlpool pull in enemies and execute at 10% HP, sating 1 hunger.

• ☢️G.A.M.M.A., a diamond spear with the mythical loot enchant Cyclotron 🌟. While moving very fast, drops are atomized, often converting to a Primordial Dust.

📖Runecrafting: Paradigm Updates

• ❤️‍🔥Paradigm of Lust: (Buff) Scorn leap range strongly increased. Attacking scorned targets heals your defended ally.

• 🤬Paradigm of Wrath: (Rework) Your swing becomes a rapid onslaught using all melee hotbar weapons, but your hotbar must all be melee weapons for strikes to land.

  • Onslaught attacks have 2x speed and ignore mercy frames.

• 🪞Paradigm of Vainglory: (Rework) Your swings fire as piercing waves, and you can hover at full health, but you strike yourself, bypassing armor, when your waves miss.

  • Hover: Swing directly up to toggle the hover. It disables once you witness your health fall below full.

Hey everyone - been a bit! Excited to announce our content drop rate related to Mounts of Mayhem, including new discoverable spear enchants, new Valor Shop relics, and a few enchant changes.

📋Overview

• ⏫Rune Rush - Runs March 7th-8th, triggering Tier VI surges which each help begin a new spear enchant research project.

  • Tier VI surges:

  • Once started, the projects can be progressed via Boundary Fragments from Tier V surges or a no-cooldown research quest.

• 🛡️Valor Shop - 2 new spear-related relics will be available:

  • 🦑Messina, a hybrid which starts as the trident Charybdis and becomes the spear Scylla when thrown, who can dash straight back to Charybdis!

  • ☢️G.A.M.M.A., a spear which can crush its victims' drops into Primordial Dust when you move very fast!

• 📖Runecrafting - Buffs to Paradigm of Lust, and reworks for Paradigm of Wrath and Paradigm of Vainglory.

🏇Mounts of Mayhem Update - 1.21.11

Hey everyone. The server is now live with 1.21.11, the Mounts of Mayhem game drop! This drop adds spears, a new primary tiered weapon whose damage scales with velocity, and some new mounts, such as the Nautilus. See here for more info.

We've got a few supporting updates for SSS systems:

• 💀Mob heads are available for the Parched, Camel Husks, and all 3 Nautilus variants.

• 🥚Mob catching works for Camel Husks and all 3 Nautilus variants, as well as for any pacified mob, such as Shrink Ray victims.

• 🏒Spears can be enchanted with Extinction, all Aspects, Bounty Hunter, Soulbound, Unbreaking IV, and weaponry curses like Bloodletting.

• ⚽Maces can now be enchanted with Bounty Hunter.

• 💾`/lexicon by_item` allows searching by `spears` and also now by `shovels`, which was missing previously.

• 💾 `/valor` has improved click-based navigation in its interfaces.

🎄Holiday Event: 12 Days of Christmas

Hey everyone! Our classic Days of Christmas event is beginning now. This is very similar to previous years, and you can get all of the info by running `/christmas` in-game, but for a quick overview:

• To start, build your fireplace (a fire block with at least two adjacent solid blocks) and register it with `/christmas fireplace`.

• A present spawns near your fireplace upon your first daily login starting December 14th. The date is checked in Eastern Time for this event.

• There are 12 presents, though the event runs for through December 31st, so there's plenty of leeway if you miss a day.

• Many presents are quite valuable, and some are unique to the event. Everyone gets the same presents in the same order.

🎃Spooky Springs Reminder & Update

Hey everyone. Here to give a quick reminder and update on Spooky Springs and a few general updates.

🍄‍🟫Spooky Springs

• Reminder that there's still about 12 days for Spooky Springs, which is plenty of time to make a build. A number of plots are still open!

• We've also decided to add some prizes. These are in addition to the standard and special prizes already announced:

  • 🎃The top 3 builds will earn the Pumpkin Mask charm, which grants -20% detection range and stops Endermen from angering at your sight.

  • 🍬ALL entrants will receive the Treat Bag charm, which allows mobs to sometimes drop Halloween treats even outside of the season.

• We recently doubled the build contest entry prize to 50k silver and 4 Badges of Valor. A simple Spooky Springs build gets you both of those and a Treat Bag!

📝General Updates

• 🤖The Moments runic spell now progresses Copper Golem oxidization. It takes many casts to fully oxidize them, but it's far faster than the hours it takes otherwise.

• 🧙 Fixed some Pointy Hat trades not giving the correct number of potions.

• 🐈‍⬛ Fixed some special Halloween spawns appearing in unexpected areas.

🎃🤖Copper Ages & Spooky Nights!

Hey everyone. Been a bit, but we've got a sizeable update including a new game version, our Halloween content for the year, and some general updates!

🤖The Copper Age

❗ We've updated to 1.21.10, The Copper Age game drop, which includes Copper Golems who can sort your loot, copper decor, armor, and tools, and shelf blocks. On SSS, Copper Golems have unique head drops for each oxidation stage and can sort loot into barrels. Copper is not yet usable with Impetus of Hephaestus. Enjoy!

🌕The Blood Moon Rises

• 🌕When a full moon rises in the survival or resource world, a Blood Moon activates - a sleepless night of dangerous foes.

• 🩸Stronger enemies appear during Blood Moons, but they drop better loot, including bonus XP and occult items. See here on Discord or here on the website for full details!

• 🍬Until the end of October, more witches, black cats, bats, and more will spawn naturally. Seasonal enemies may drop special candy food items.

• 🗓️We have ideas to make non-automatic Blood Moons a permanent feature if there is interest. Let us know what you think!

• ✂️Dispensers now properly activate runecrafted enchantments of shears and flint and steel, and work with infinite buckets.

• 🍼The Potion Launcher now works with the Impetus of Dionysus happy hour potion discount.

• ⛏️ Magnetism now leaves behind uncobbled blocks if used with Silk Touch.

• 📦Avatar of Shulkers once again properly fires its shulker bullet.

🌕Blood Moons

Blood Moons are a special event that can activate during the Halloween season on Silver Springs.

• 🌕When a full moon rises in the survival or resource world, a Blood Moon activates - a sleepless night of dangerous foes.

• 🌑Enemies which spawn under the light of the Blood Moon are stronger and drop better loot:

  • 🩻Wither Skeletons with fiery bows and Zombified Piglins spawn in the overworld throughout the night.

  • 💪These enemies, and all others, are bigger, stronger, and faster. Creepers explode in a wider radius, leaving behind enfeebling clouds.

  • 🦾Empowered enemies drop additional XP, uncommonly an occult item (same pool as Dowsing Thumb), and rarely the Sanguine Phial charm.

• 🩸The Sanguine Phial stacks at double rate for kills during Blood Moons.

🍄Spooky Springs 2025

Spooky Springs is a communal build contest run during the Halloween season:

📖Overview:

• The event takes place in a gloomy mushroom cave at `/warp SpookySprings`.

• The cave contains 20 plots. Approach one and right click the sign on its front wall to claim it for free. You can only claim one plot.

• Plots are 17x61x17, extending 30 blocks up and down. Your entire contest entry must be contained within this space.

• If you want to build with a friend, stand in your plot and use `/as addfriend <name>` to give them permission to build there.

• You all then help decide the winners! After the build period, you'll have 2 days to vote for your top 3 plots. You can't vote for your own.

  • Details on how to vote will be sent once the build phase ends.

💡Lights

A new Valor relic, Polaris, is available for purchase from Artificer Malachy for 1 Nether Star + 4 Runes of Sparks.

Inserting light-emitting blocks or Runes of Sparks into Polaris charges it. You can adjust its selected brightness, then "place" it to spawn an invisible light at that brightness, consuming an equivalent amount of charge. There is no cap to the charge, which also allows Polaris to act as an infinite sized stack of lights.

For example, torches give off 14 light, so inserting one adds 14 charge. You can use this to place 1 light of 14 brightness, or 2 lights of 7 brightness, and so on. Looking forward to seeing how you all use this to enhance your builds!

Hey @everyone, here to deliver some updates completed in the past week!

• 🍷Impetus of Dionysus can now hand-brew custom potions you've unlocked via mcMMO alchemy.

• 🧍The armor stand editing GUI now has a name tag button for toggling visibility of its name. This also works for Mob Scarecrows.

• 🐗Mob Scarecrows now prevent zombified piglins spawns and only lose 0-1 Withered Hearts when broken while upgraded.

• 🧙‍♀️The spawn secret hints given by the boardwalk clairvoyant now include the number of the hinted secret.

• 🟧Added `/creative_world` as a master command for managing creative world settings, including two new subcommands:

  • 🕰️`/creative_world time <time>` - Sets a personal creative world time-of-day override. Accepts `dawn`, `dusk`, `night`, or `reset`.

  • 🌧️`/creative_world weather <weather>` - Sets a personal creative world weather override. Accepts `rain` or `reset`.

  • There are also `home` and `particle_wand` subcommands which simply act as aliases to `/creativehome` and `/particlewand`.

  • Using just `/creative_world` on its own acts as an alias to `/warp creative`.

Hey everyone, been a while! Today we've got a new build contest kicking off, and a few general updates.

📝General Updates

• 🎃Pumpkins can now be carved in a stonecutter. This does not drop seeds like carving by hand does.

• 🟩Slime and magma cube heads now drop more reliably. This also fixes them never dropping from the Wishbone charm.

• 💎Boundary Shards can no longer be used in uncorruptible locales and don't get you stuck in the disenchant mode once used at the Arcanum.

• 🌍Recasting Aphelion of Earth's spell for Curse of the Forbidden Ones now moves the existing obelisk without resetting sacrifice progress. This is generally useful, but notably also makes it usable on Corrupted Footage charms.

😨An Ominous Weekend

Hey everyone! The Arcanum research team has been quietly investigating some recent ongoings, and we have news from them to share with you. Something ominous is stirring in Silver Springs, bringing both danger and new possibilities!

🌀Surges & Boundaries

• All content listed here launches Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at 12:00 AM PDT, alongside the Ominous Rush.

The ominous energies have paved the way for the return of Runic Surges, allowing for the acquisition of Boundary Shards, small pieces of the condensed Boundary Fragments we collected during the Runic Shift event.

These Surges are mostly similar to those from the Runic Shift, but with a few key differences. A full overview of this system can be viewed here.

• 😨 Entering an uncorrupted Rune Locale with Bad Omen active consumes it to trigger a Runic Surge. Multiple locales can surge at once.

• 🔋 Surges have 5 difficulty Tiers, determined by the initiating Bad Omen level, increasing the general danger and difficulty of the event.

• ⚔️ If the apex is slain, all participants receive Runes and 1-5 Boundary Shards, scaling with the Surge Tier.

• 💎Boundary Shards have many uses, such as:

  • ⚫ The boundary void below the Arcanum accepts offerings, consuming Shards to corrupt certain items, such as Runic Tomes into Corrupted Tomes.

  • 📖 Use Shards at the Arcanum to wipe enchants from items.

• ⚠️ As you may expect, it's hard for our small team to properly playtest content like this, so please be patient with the early balance of Surges, and work with us to make them an enjoyable, permanent feature of SSS.

⏫Surges will begin alongside this weekend's Ominous Rush, which has the following bonus effect:

• Ominous Vaults, Pillager raids, and Tier III+ Surges can award Badges of Valor.

• Impetus of Dionysus now gives 50% mcMMO XP for hand brewing.

• Ear Collector no longer gives ear stacks for non-hostile mob kills. This was never really intended, but we let it go on too long, so apologies there.
