What is runecrafting?

Excellent question.

Runecrafting is our custom enchantment system. The process involves finding runes, which can be acquired at “Runic Locales”* and then taking the runes and a book to the Arcanum*. You use 5 runes and the book at the Arcanum to craft a Runecrafted Enchantment.

Each of these Runecrafted Enchantments has its own recipe. To find the correct runes for your enchant you can simply type ‘/lexicon <Enchantment name>’ in-game or you can check them out here (spreadsheet view) or here (booklet view) on our website!

Arcanum

  • Found at the Mystic Grove Runic Locale

  • Occasionally drops while enchanting

Aegis

  • Found at the Soulbound Runic Locale

  • Awarded upon winning a raid

Chills

  • Found at the Skatheim Runic Locale

  • Occasionally drops while digging powdered snow

Cinders

  • Found at the Igneous Hollow Runic Locale

  • Occasionally pops out of a furnace while smelting items

Gusts

  • Found at the Aethryn Runic Locale

    Occasionally found in high-elevation End City chests

Kinesis

  • Found at the Kuiper Runic Locale

  • Occasionally drops near explosions

Moments

  • Found at the Allforge Runic Locale

  • Occasionally dug up by sniffers

Mortus

  • Found at the Arkose Runic Locale

  • Occasionally drops when something dies

Opulence

  • Found at the Pleonexus Runic Locale

  • Occasionally found in Bastion chests

Stones

  • Found at the Ruit Runic Locale

  • Occasionally found in dungeon chests

Tides

  • Found at the Plimmýra Runic Locale

  • Occasionally fished up alongside fish

  • Occasionally drops while swimming with dolphins

Vitality

  • Found at the Thriaechor Runic Locale

  • Occasionally drops while breeding animals

Void

  • Found at random Corrupted Runic Locales, which rotate daily

  • Occasionally found in Ancient City chests
