The Runic Tome is a special artifact one can acquire from the Cultist Raid section of the Trial Shop.

Shift + right-clicking will open a 5-slot Rune inventory. Right-clicking an inserted rune will select it.

The Runic Tome is enchanted with the Soulbound enchantment.

Right-clicking when a rune is loaded in the Runic Tome will fire a Runic Blast based on the rune type loaded. Firing a Runic Blast consumes XP. Each different rune type has a different animation and effect, and may also have more than one use. The different Runic Blasts available and their effects are listed below.

Arcanum

A Runic Blast of Arcanum does damage in a small radius, and every 3rd attack does more damage, summoning a lightning strike.

Aegis

A Runic Blast of Aegis will summon 3 orbiting shields that will each fully block 1 hit.

Chills

A Runic Blast of Chills fires a projectile which will freeze the area around where it lands. Water changes to ice, lava changes to obsidian, snow falls no matter the weather, and hostile mobs freeze (may also turn into a friendly snow golem upon death).

Cinders

A Runic Blast of Cinders has a flamethrower effect, shooting streams of fire ahead of the player in a short distance, damaging mobs, setting them on fire, and cutting healing.

Gusts

A Runic Blast of Gusts will summon a wind wall when used which first deflects then destroys projectiles.

Kinesis

A Runic Blast of Kinesis forms a gravity well, then launches all pulled targets in the direction the caster is looking.

Moments

A Runic Blast of Moments will speed up the tick rate of an area.

• Grass (spread)

• Copper oxidization

Mortus

A Runic Blast of Mortus releases a wave of death, which plagues and marks enemies to take bonus damage from your next spell.

Opulence

A Runic Blast of Opulence will summon a rainstorm of golden nuggets, which can distract mobs to drop agro.

Stones

A Runic Blast of Stones will encase targets in blocks and stun them.

Tides

A Runic Blast of Tides releases a tidal wave which wets blocks and pushes targets.

Vitality

A Runic Blast of Vitality will heal all players in the immediate area, will grow crops with a bonemeal effect, and will make animals breed.
